The Hexagonal Cup

The hexagonal cup is fixed to the background with a no. 8 countersunk screw which enables the cup to rotate and thread onto the treaded male portion on the sign letter back.

The Threaded Stud

The threaded stud which is also hexagonal in profile has a ¼" witworth rear thread that can either be screwed into a pre-tapped hole (see diagram A) or bolted onto sheet material of no more than 3mm thickness such as lead coated steel or acrylic sheet and using a ¼" whitworth nut, (see diagram B).

As with the snapfix stud, the male threaded stud has a point enabling the sign letter to be pressed onto a layout paper providing a drilling guide.
